Petroleum jelly on lifted lashes??
So my understanding of the lash lift process has always been that oil isn't good for the curl. I thought that was why the recommendation is to avoid oily mascara remover etc.
But my beautician says that's not true! She says the only time to avoid oil on your lashes is just before a lash lift treatment, because the oil can get in the way of the chemicals they use. And after the treatment it's fine to put oil on your lashes.
What blew my mind is that she actually recommended using Vaseline (petroleum jelly) for lash care after a lift. She said the oil-free serums you get are a rip-off and Vaseline does an equally good job. She recommends using a little brush to put it on like mascara.
Is she right? Because if so, this opens up a lot more options!
