So my partner has a Chrono Louis Erard with an ETA 251.471.

When replacing the battery and try to reset the chrome dials (she knows nothing about watches so they were all offset) I noted the split time/ reset button was not working/ clicking. Concerned I had a look and noted that I could get it to work normally.

Further investigation looks like the whole dial is marginally offset away from the crowns. I ‘think’ the plastic movement ring to centre the mechanism is slight deformed. By rotating it slightly I managed to get it to allow the reset to work (just about), but not a great state of affairs.

Is this a common issue, ?! Are the movement rings easy to obtain, or do I need to go to the manufacturer?!
