Came across this in Mikrolimano in Piraeus the other day, seems lovely.

You might notice every here and there, these highly trained security guards in various Athenian buildings.

Salamina is the largest island in the Saronic gulf. It’s very easy to get too, literally 15 minutes across from the mainland, with a 24/7 ferry service, with no reservations needed. Adult ticket costs 1€, for a car I don’t know , but for my scooter I paid 1€ also. It’s worth looking into if you have a short stay in Athens looking for a nearby island escape, you might not even need accommodation in the island since you can see it all in a day. Just make sure to have a vehicle 🚗 🛵

This place is truly magical, I highly suggest sports shoes , and make sure they are shoes you don’t really care about, it can be muddy! Besides that, bring your swimming trunks.
