Don't click the picture unless you wanna see a flayed open knee

The right leg last year went fine. I had a cyst but it was filled with my own ground up bone.

For the left yesterday, the CT scan showed a small cyst but the surgeon got a surprise when he opened up. There was another cyst and it was huge. He had to fill it with cement.

Anyway, the photo of my open knee with the two holes drilled in my tibia by the robot and showing the cysts. My Surgeon took the picture and showed me in the recovery room. He knows I'm not squeamish.

On Medicare? On Social Security? Medicaid?

Forget about using the savings card. You can't.

Medicare only pays $96.

My co-pay? $426.96

I even called the manufacturer and was told that they can do nothing to help me and that I just need to talk to my doctor about alternatives.

For me, my only alternative is ibuprofen because opioids have no effect on me.

I went through my last knee replacement with no pain control at all, I really don't want to do it again.

I really feel let down. They deny a discount to the most vulnerable populations. They suck. I already knew that but it still makes me wanna cry.
