Commercial pilot license and visa advice
Hi, I have a very niche question and I was wondering if anyone with experience might have any insight.
Background:
I'm 27, looking for a career change. I've always been interested in becoming a pilot, but didn't pursue it. Currently I'm a UK citizen in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. I was looking at starting a (500) Student Visa and applying for flight schools. I have seen that if I enroll in a CRICOS Approved Course, I may be eligible for a Post Graduate Visa (485) after I complete my studies and extend my stay for a few more years.
My question is, would this be a beneficial way to land an entry level job and build up hours and eventually apply for a more permanent skilled visa?
I'm trying to think long term in order to stay in Australia as it's my dream to stay. However, the visa process is long and complex so I don't want to waste any of those precious years.
