Technology in the Wilderness
First day on Omnipod, from MDI.
Looking to do some more multiday, wilderness trips this summer. I have plenty of experience. I've always enjoyed getting away while in the woods, but alas, I'm excited to see what I can do with this thing. But all the talk of checking ketones and bent cannulas got me thinking:
What do you bring, and how do you carry it? More specifically:
What are your safety margins (do you bring 1 backup, or 3 or 5? Backup needles and pens? Alcohol swabs? Ketone Strips?
Sharps container????
What about charging, for like 4 or 5 day trip in cold temps, would you bring a backup charging solution?
The backup 'meter' device thing that comes with it?
