Things to do in summer

Hey guys, pretty much just the title. Never been to Riyadh and we're staying for two nights at the end of May. What do you recommend doing? Obviously we know what we're getting ourselves into with the weather so don't be too worried about that. We are interested in learning about Saudi culture/history, and eating Saudi food in particular, so any suggestions specifically around those things are greatly appreciated! Obviously in addition to the main attractions in Riyadh

Assalamu Alaikum everyone

After three years living here I'm a bit embarrassed to say I haven't been able to get outdoors/outside of Muscat nearly as much as I would've wanted, and definitely not in the summer. Therefore I don't really know a lot about what the wadis are like in the summer. With that being said, I have some family visiting later this month and of course I want to treat them to the classic wadi experience in Oman. Arbaeen stands out to me as I've always really enjoyed it when I went (admittedly in winter), it's closer to Muscat, and I know it's always wet, but I have concerns about the summer heat. Is it truly unbearable there in late May/June, even with the pools/going early? My family know what they're getting themselves into coming here in the summer but they do still live in a pretty cool place, so they're not really accustomed to hiking in the heat. Please let me know your thoughts, or if you have a suggestion for another wadi that would be cooler/easier, or even if you just think this is a stupid idea and we should avoid wadis altogether

Hi everyone, I'm an incoming freshman for AS (no PPL) and recently I had my S1 schedule made for me. I was given a 7-day Monday-Sunday 5:30 - 10:55 AM flight block and given that I obviously have some questions.

The class is set to run every day of the week, is this actually the case? I really can't see myself doing a five-hour flight block every single day of the week at the crack of dawn if I can help it. When I go to the scheduler to swap to another flight block there are a few others available but only for four days a week and they don't last as long. I haven't actually made any changes yet, I have talked to the advisor and some other students who basically just told me that flying that early in the morning is actually ideal but I'm still skeptical.

Do you guys think I really need to be flying literally every day of the week for five hours? Could I get away with a 3 hour block from 8-11 AM 4 days a week, for example? I'm aware there are problems with availability/length of flight courses at Riddle but I would also like to have a life and I just feel like this is potentially a dangerous path towards burnout. Am I whining or are these valid concerns?
