The folks at r/degoogle are in upheaval over google's proposed crackdown on methods for alternative Android builds, but I can't make heads or tails of it for MuditaOS

I'm new to reducing my screen time and tech giant dependence and I am planning to use a Mudita Kompakt as part of that. According to a few posts over at r/degoogle like:

https://www.reddit.com/r/degoogle/comments/1t8rp6s/google_is_locking_out_grapheneos_and_others/

https://www.reddit.com/r/degoogle/comments/1sztq0c/your_phone_is_about_to_stop_being_yours_anger/

It seems like sideloading, which was one of the features that helped me decide on the Kompakt so I can keep using a select few android apps, might be in jeopardy due to google play dependencies. I know most of those words but I don't know what they mean in that order. Can someone with more experience in the platform please weigh in on whether this will implode side-loading? Am I good to chug along with a kompakt? In USA if that makes a difference.

Hey, so I am looking for a copy of the shirt that Nick Nolte is wearing in his famous 2002 mugshot. It's a button down shirt that has the text "Orchids of Hawaii," at least I'm like 85% sure that's what it says. I am looking for a vendor that sells a reproduction or copy of this shirt, I have pored through etsy, ebay, and dozens of hawaiian shirt websites and now my eyes hurt but I don't have any leads. As far as I can tell, "Orchids of Hawaii" may have been the brand. I have not attempted to contact Nick Nolte to find out where he got it, and r/nicknolte doesn't exist (damn). It's a long story but this image and the feeling it evokes is important to me.
