Ph.D vs Ed.D
Repost:
I was wondering because I just spoke to someone who said in Asia they don’t know what a Ed.D is and PH.D
Is more valued, anyone living in Asia working in either of these could you give me some insight?

Hello,
I noticed there’s not that many post about international schools in Vietnam so I wanted to ask
I’m a teacher currently in Vietnam and I’m looking to transition into the international schools in Vietnam, my goal is UNIS but I understand how hard is it to get in. I was wondering if any teachers in international schools had any insight on what I could do to just get my foot in the door
I currently hold a bachelors in psychology with a minor in TESOL and Asian studies and finishing up a MBA, I have already talked to my current university and I’m planning to get an M.Ed and my starting time for that will be March 2027.
I’m about to start at a bilingual school but it’s not accredited but I’m looking to transition to other bilingual schools down the line. I just want to make sure I have the best possible experience
Any insight would be appreciated !!
Edit: forgot to add has any teacher received funding for their QTS in vietnam
