Nurburgring (gp layout) vs mugello circuit
Personally I would choose mugello over nurburgring because it's a beauty to drive on
Though I will admit nurburgring is perhaps better for racing
I just couldn't think of any possible reason as they aren't being used for agriculture and the water just evaporates so why do they exist?
I remember watching last year's qatar race and i noticed two problems
Problem 1: every time a car gets wheel to wheel with another car at the end of the straight, because turn 1 is a fast swooping right hander the car on the outside stay wheel to wheel and not can it try to get a better exit into turn 2 and because the turn 2 is also a swooping corner it can't stay wheel to wheel and falls back to overtake 1 sec.
Fix : make turn 1 a 120° sharp hairpin. This means that not only is there a heavy braking zone which encourages late braking moves into turn 1, it also means that if you can't get ahead you can stay on the outside and get a much better exit into the next two turns than the defending driver since the track is so wide, this carrying the battle into turns 4 and 5
Problem 2 : every time a driver is following another driver into the final corner once he exits the final corner he loses a tenth and a half due to a combination of dirty air due to it being a swooping fast corner and being forced into following in a single file meaning the driver can't even take an alternative line to avoid concertina affect and the dirty air
Fix: make the final turn into a bahrain style final corner hairpin. This reduces the dirty air effect as it's a slower corner and because it's a wiiide hairpin, the following car can take the corner in a different line to avoid the concertina effect. Plus it provides a better braking zone to recharge the battery and the cars can use overtake mode better.
Over-all this doesn't fix the main issue of dirty air in the middle sector but with these cars being less aero dependant and the new overtake mode this should be better
