20F seeking health advice

Hello all,

Burner account. I (20F nonbinary) have been bedwetting consistently almost every night since I was born. Like so many of you, my childhood was full of timers, alarms, star sticker charts, pull-ups, goodnites, scratchy pee pads, and hushed trips to the laundry room. I’m now living with my partner (21) who is an ex-bedwetter (stopped at 13) so it’s no big deal—they are very supportive.

In the past, both around the age of 12, I have tried desmopressin to no results and visited a urologist to no results. Everybody just sort of gave up on me after that. I’m looking to seek out more solutions healthcare-wise but don’t know where to start. I am autistic and have ADHD and there is a link between those and bedwetting. I also sleep extremely hard—like a rock. I’m thinking that the only reason I bedwet is my hard sleeping because I have no incontinence in the daytime.

How can I sleep lighter without getting awful sleep? What specialists should I see? What meds should I ask about? Thank you.
