ich hab seit letztem Jahr meinen B196-Führerschein und bin seitdem knapp dreiviertel Jahr auf einer NIU NQiX 500 unterwegs gewesen. Eigentlich war ich super happy damit – bis mich der Alltag eingeholt hat.

Ich wohn im vierten Stock, kein Aufzug, kein Keller, kein Stellplatz mit Steckdose. Sprich: Akku schleppen. Und der wiegt halt nicht ohne Grund so viel. Das zermürbt einen auf Dauer, besonders wenn man eh viel in der Stadt fährt und die 100 km Reichweite schneller weg sind als man denkt.

Das Fahren selbst hat mir so einen Riesenspaß gemacht, dass ich einfach nicht aufhören will.

Deswegen liebäugle ich jetzt mit nem richtigen Benziner – und bin gespannt, was ihr so empfehlt. Ich bin noch Anfänger, also nichts, womit ich mir direkt das Genick breche. Aber auch nichts, das sich anfühlt wie ein motorisiertes Fahrrad.

Was würdet ihr nehmen? Hat jemand von euch den Wechsel von nem E-Moped auf nen 125er Benziner gemacht?

I’ve had my 125cc licence since last year and spent about 6 months riding a NIU NQIX 500. Honestly loved it – until the reality of my daily life caught up with me.

I live on the fourth floor, no elevator, no basement, no parking spot with a socket. Which means: carrying the batteries every time I wanted to charge. After a while it just gets old, especially when you’re riding around the city a lot and those 100 km of range disappear faster than you’d expect.

The important part is – riding itself has been so much fun that I genuinely don’t want to stop and I find myself restrained by the limit.

So I’m looking at making the switch to a proper petrol bike – and curious what you guys would recommend. I’m still a beginner, so keep that in mind I guess.

But also nothing that feels like a motorised bicycle.

What would you go for? Anyone here made the jump from an electric moped to a 125cc petrol bike?
