can’t decide on name order pls help
so my(M24) gf (26) is expecting our first kid! we’re both partially french west indian and are trying to decide on the possible girl name. If it’s a boy we both like Louis Alassane but for a girl we like the names Léonie and Joséphine since they both show up in our families.
I prefer Léonie Josephine but she pushes back because, should we have another kid and it be a boy there would be the matching ‘L’ which she’s not a fan of. So she prefers Joséphine Léonie. We also live in the anglosphere so I feel Léonie feels more modern than Joséphine as a first name.
There’s also the added issue of throwing Marie in the mix as it is cultural tradition to honour Mary, but still unsure if it sounds too ancient to include at this point. We can’t agree on that either as I would prefer to lead with Marie-Léonie while she would ideally prefer Joséphine Marie-Léonie. You can tell we have our favourite prénoms, but which one do you think
