So, after MBlade comes out, Lingsha actually becomes a viable sustain option, right?

Let's preface the post with saying that while sustainless is an option, there are 2 reasons for why I don't want to go sustainless: 1) I don't like it, and 2) MBlade actually requires an healer for best uptime/damage.

So, it's clear that Hyacine S1 still remains one of (if not the) best sustain option when MBlade comes out for Acheron team, but if Hyacine is occupied in another team (like mono-rem), then suddenly Lingsha becomes a viable option for people that don't have DHPT S1, right?

And I mean it in the sense that I already have Lingsha, not to say that you should pull for her for the Acheron team (because at this point you could just pull for DHPT S1 or Hyacine S1). Or I guess a F2P option would be Gallagher.

Traditional turn-based combat without positioning that has a lot of strategy (team-based, no real time presses, and no grinding)

Some examples that may fit but just fail for one or more reasons:

  • Expedition 33 and Mario turn-based games: I hate real time presses in a turn-based game.
  • Old Final Fantasy and similar games: I have tried a couple, but they all either require a lot of grinding or just aren't really strategic.
  • Lord of the Rings: Third Age: really close to what I like, but the strategy is kinda shallow unfortunately.
  • Baldur's Gate 3 and XCOM-like games: fantastic games, but I prefer if there isn't positioning in the game.
  • Pokemon games: it's mostly single battles, and even when you use multiple pokemons the strategy is not based on multiple party members each filling a different role, you just have more than one attacker on field.
  • Honkai Star Rail: really good game, but it has a lot of grinding. Also, it's a gacha game, so a non-gacha game would be best.
  • Ruined King: it seemed like the perfect game for me...and then it is just sooooo sloooow, it almost feels like grinding. Even normal battles take too much time, and if you use the "auto-battle" system you end up getting a lot of damage and it also feels like grinding in a gacha game all over again.

Those games are still very good and I enjoyed them (apart from Expedition 33 that I haven't played, and Ruined King that I have abandoned after like 30% because it was too boring).

I would like to find a game that satisfies all the requirements that would make the game perfect for me. I saw a bunch of suggestions over time on the internet, but it isn't always clear if all the good turn-based games that are suggested actually satisfy all my requirements, so help would be appreciated.

Edit: preferably not a rogue-like, but if there are some that satisfy all the requirements I might still check it out.

How is Darius allowed to be like this?

Whenever you're against Darius, it becomes a game of "stay under your tower and only farm minions that gets under your tower" for the first 15 minutes, and if he didn't get fed then you win the game.

I understand that if in the end he still loses, then it's technically balanced, but there shouldn't be a champ such that if it's selected you can't play the game for 15 minutes.

Like literally as soon as you get close to kill a minion he literally kills you if you don't have 3 dashes and you can't do anything to escape that.

I know that this is probably going to be met with stuff like "get better at the game" yada yada, but the thing is that the majority of the playerbase is in low ranks, and the game is supposed to be fun to play. If Darius wasn't the only champ that doesn't allow you to play for the first 15 minutes I would be fine with that as I could just ban him and be fine, but he's not the only one (but this post is focused on Darius so let's not talk about the other ones for now).

Edit: so yeah, you are all proving my point. All the answers are either "git gud" or "play another champ". Not a single one that answers me why such a champ is allowed to exist if it makes low ELO games a living hell.
