What if we replaced the bottom 4 rows of shingles with board and batten?
this lake cabin has 70+ year old cedar shingles. the bottom rows are rotted. considering demoing those and replacing with metal board and batten for durability and low maintenance.
the bottom floor is painted cinder block.
how will this look? i don't want to redo the shingles - i want an economical replacement for the rotted rows.
