I just finished rereading Chasing in the Wild guys, and it hasn’t even been a month since I read Iñigo and Cha’s story from game series of beeyotch kaya naman presko pa sa akin lahat. Ako lang ba, or grabe talaga yung similarities nina Sevi at Iñigo? From their personalities, to the scenes where they were waiting for the bar exam results, pati yung scenes where Cha and Elyse were harassed they feel so similar and honestly, it’s uncanny. I won’t even highlight the fact that Iñigo brought Cha to a paresan while Sevi brought Elyse to a karinderya. But what really bothered me was the bar exam results scene. The whole vibe and setup felt very familiar. Then there’s the jeepney scene where Elyse was sexually assaulted, and Sevi pulled the guy out and brought him to the police station, that also happened in Iñigo and Cha’s story. Even Sevi’s personality keeps reminding me of Iñigo’s to the point that I almost felt like I was still reading his book.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions but it genuinely bothered me AHAHAHA. May iilan pang scenes doon na very similar, pero hindi ko na ieelaborate pa.

Sobrang hirap maghanap ng totoong dark romance written by Filipino writers. Ang daming recommendations na binigay sakin, pero bilang lang doon ang talagang pumasok sa taste ko. Paulit-ulit na lang yung recommendations kahit saan ako magtanong. from here, TikTok, Facebook, at X. Paulit ulit nalang yung authors, and although may new names na nasasama, in the end, di pa rin pasok sa taste ko. The stories I tried either weren't dark enough or puro lang segs. As an avid international reader, okay kay lang sakin kahit g*go yung characters, kahit sobrang red at black flag pa yan, basta consistent ang character at well-executed yung stories. Kasi ganun naman talaga yang subgenre na yan. Hindi lahat may character development. Minsan, consistency lang ang kailangan at maayos na pag-handle. Gusto ko yung talagang babaliwin ako at on edge ako habang nagbabasa. So far, isang filo writer pa lang ang nakapagbigay ng ganung feeling sakin, kaya heto ako ngayon hanap nang hanap ng filo authors na forte ang dark romance. 😓

GUYSSS PLEASE HELPPP. Sino na dito yung nakapagbasa ng game series ni beeyotch? Alin sa installments yung hindi masyadong masakit? Please, I just finished Cha's and Iñigo's story, and I want to read more. Pero kasi andami ko nakikitang posts na heavy daw yung ibang books? I am not doing well emotionally atm kaya please, if may ibang installment naman na hindi masyadong heavy, pls do tell me. Ang heavy for me is yung fam conflict (but I think I can handle that) and a third party involved(hindi ko kaya to bcs I have a trauma sa cheating 😓)
