Don't go hungry

Ok so years ago I started a WhatsApp group to share food from our house and our business. My wife runs a preschool and we have to buy food for 150 kids per week. At the end of the week, we clear the pantry. It's a small group (about 20 people). Whatever I have, I put my food up on WhatsApp and they come to my house to collect what they want. I find that our food isn't enough for them, so I started lining up at various food distribution places (Second Harvest, Salvation Army). I would get food for 2 to 3 families and bring it to them. Most often they don't use all of it, so I ended up with left overs to give out at my house as well. With more new needy families, I have to do more, so now I volunteer at those food distribution places. I show them my group, and some place allows me to keep cases of vegetables or food to bring to them. Sure beat waiting in line for hours in the hot sun or cold rainy days. My point is that there are so many places that you can get food in or near San Jose. So don't go hungry. Look and thou shall find. Or reach out and I tell you where.

I thought Ooma can replace our expensive Xfinity for our business. Got a quote from a rep after talking to them in an Expo, $319.78 for two locations with 60 day trial and no equipment fee. Sounds great, so I signed up. July 13 2025 as installation date, only one location barely works (phone is fine only for a corner of the building, won't reach the rest as their signal too weak). The other location did not work, no signal. Returned the equipment for that location, only kept one set for the one that barely work because they "promised" a new version of the internet hub with better coverage and speed around Oct of 2025. Before end of July 2025, got hit with a charge of $354.98 (more than quoted price for both locations). Sent in the request to adjust the fee and get refund to the rep, no answer. Sent it to Support, no answer. We decided to cancel, sent in cancellation to Support and we should have checked if that worked but long story short, they continue to charge our CC for the full $354.98 amount for months. When I discovered these charges, we closed the CC and filed for dispute. That gets their attention, and someone called this week to get new CC info. I explained to the rep why I need to get refund and also to cancel it. Their support said that they won't cancel until all charges are paid in full. But they are wrong, and not what we receive nor agreed to. Doesn't matter, no pay? no cancel, and we will report you to collection. Does anyone here know how to get proper help from this fraudulent practice here?
