I don’t have any isopods yet, but I’m looking for feedback on my current plans. I recently got my first snake and within the next year I would like to have a fully bioactive enclosure for him.

Initially, I was planning to go with the widely recommended powder orange or powder blues, and I saw several sources saying that I could even introduce dwarf whites at the same time and have them coexist. But now I am also interested in having a separate culture of them for their own sake, though I would also like for this to be a species that I can eventually have in my snakes enclosure. I will go with one of the powders if that is the best option, but ideally I would like something more visually interesting.

What I am heavily conserving at the moment:
-Troglodillo sp. Soil
-Cubaris Murina Papaya

My ball pythons enclosure has a temperature gradient with the cool side ranging from about 73-80 (usually staying about 76 or 77 during the day) and the warm side is about 85-88- there is a slight night drop, allowing the warm side to get down to approximately 83 degrees, though I certainly do not need to carry that over to the final enclosure if it would be harmful to the isopods.
Humidity is usually 85-65% (average mid 70s, cool side has highest humidity).

I am finding slightly different information on the exact range for each species, depending on where I look. Some sources make it seem like they would do okay, others do not. So I’m looking for any additional feedback or information that might be necessary in this process!

Tomorrow morning my partner and I will be reaching out to customer support yet again, and I’m looking for any insight as to how the process will go.

In February we purchased a Rampage 2. Really loved it and had a blast, but just under 30 days into owning it the PSU died out of the blue- one second my partner was playing a game and the next it was completely dead.

Customer support was helpful, they had us ship the PC back and said they would build a new one. We got the new one on April 2nd. We were very happy to have it set up and it was doing great, no issues.

Just now I was working on some classwork and stepped away for a moment. The only things open were a paused youtube video and a tab with my paper. The PC died- based on what I’m seeing I’m guessing it was the PSU again. It didn’t even make it another 30 days.

Obviously this has been a real gut punch. This PC was not cheap and there is no reason it should be dying like this. I am extremely frustrated and struggling to trust that SkyTech can make this right.

What should we expect when reaching out to them tomorrow? Has anyone else had something similar happen?

EDIT: The guy we talked to from customer support was really nice, and overall the call didn’t take long. They did offer a refund, another replacement pc, a repair, or a new psu. We couldn’t really justify the risk of a third pc/psu dying (plus the risk of damage to other parts) so we went with a refund and we’re shipping it back tomorrow. Building a pc isn’t really in the cards for us right now for a couple of reasons, so we do need a pre-built we can count on. Maybe we would have lucked out with a third from SkyTech, maybe not. But at least I can say that the customer support has been consistently good.
