Is an MBA from NYU worth it anymore? For class of 2028, will there be jobs available?

As someone making 125k pre mba, does it even make sense to go to T15 school for IB/consulting pivot?

29M based in NYC, US permanent resident.
Academic background:

• 3.11 GPA from a Tier 2 undergrad
• 3.96 GPA from a Tier 2 master’s program (arguably Tier 1 in NYC)
• 335 GRE

Work experience:

• 6 years in accounting across PE/HF
• Last 2 years at a major fund administrator

My goal is to transition into consulting post‑MBA. I’m open to both full‑time and part‑time programs, but I’m unsure how PT programs place into consulting roles.

Given my profile, which MBA programs should I realistically target, and where might I be competitive? Any insight on FT vs PT placement for consulting would also be appreciated.

I really like NYU and CBS, but want more options. Would be applying Round 1 for 2027.
