Brand New LOTR Fan (24M)

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my absolute newfound obsession with LOTR and the greatest fantasy epic of all time.

My wife out of the blue decided to get me the box set of the Hobbit & LOTR books for Christmas. I had never showed any interest in them and for some reason never watched any of the films growing up so I was surprised to say the least but also excited because I know they have such a strong following. I'm sure many of you know what happens from here, I started reading The Hobbit and it HOOKED me. The world, the language, the characters, loved it. Took me a month or two to get through all the books and my wife and I just finished watching all the movies together for the first time yesterday and we both had a blast watching them. I was stunned by the insane effort put into making those movies, they were not only amazing films but productional masterpieces. I showed my wife the theatrical editions of all the movies because she had no idea what they were about and I wanted to ease her in, so I'm excited I still have the extended editions left to watch. Heard those are awesome.

So nothing crazy, just wanted to let you all know I just joined the subreddit and credit to my wife for introducing me to the greatest fantasy universe of all time.

My friends... you bow to no one.
