At the end of last year I got myself my first guitar in 12 years (a Gibson USA SG standard) and played the shit out of it everyday. It’s been such a reprieve from work and bullshit. Anyways, 6 months later here I am, dropping another fat stack on a Les Paul green lemon R8. This thing plays beautifully and I love the plain top. I’m at the point that I’m feeling pretty happy with my gear and I can’t stop playing. It’s crazy how instruments can inspire you.

Man, I love this hobby!

I stopped playing 12 years ago (left home for university) and recently turned 30. I was looking for some sort of hobby when I walked into a music shop for the first time in a while, saw this SG and fell in love.

I haven’t put her down in the last 3 months and playing again has done wonders for my mental health. The problem is, I’m flirting with the idea of getting her a sister (Les Paul mayhaps?) and I’m realizing this hobby (addiction?) is going to cost me 😅
