Did anyone else experience this kind of nausea or similar?
Hello everyone! I had my bisalp on Monday. Everything was going so smoothly, I was walking around and eating a bit after and slept through the night.
Yesterday morning I became so insanely nauseous, and wasn’t able to eat a single thing. I was dry heaving for a few hours and couldn’t keep water down, and was worried I was going to tear my stitches, plus the nausea pain was so bad I decided to go to the ER.
They gave me fluids and morphine and Zofran, but the entire time I was there the nausea only became tolerable and not fully gone, so I went home. My surgeon told me it’s most likely just from anesthesia.
That was yesterday around 6pm, and now 9am and I have only had about 2 hours with no nausea since. I’ve taken endless showers that seem to temporarily help, and I’ve been able to drink two protein shakes without throwing up. Zofran isn’t helping, and I’m too scared to take any of my pain meds on my empty stomach. Did anyone else experience this crazy level of nausea and if so any tips to help?
