A lot of Amazon sellers overlook the 'returnless refund' option, where you refund the customer without asking them to send the product back. It sounds counterintuitive at first, but in the right situations, it can actually save you money. For low-cost or non-resellable items, return shipping, FBA processing, and storage fees can easily cost more than the product itself; so sometimes it just makes more sense to let the customer keep it. That said, it’s not perfect. If your rules are too loose, customers can start taking advantage of it, claiming issues just to get free products; which slowly eats into your margins. There’s also a risk of conditioning buyers to expect refunds without returns, especially in competitive niches. So yeah, it’s a solid tool for cutting costs and speeding up customer resolution, but we need to keep a close eye on it, otherwise those 'savings' can flip into losses pretty fast.
