I’m a bit confused about how choice benefits work and hoping someone can clarify.

If you reach 600 XP, you get a bonus of 20 extra XP. But when the year resets, only up to 300 XP can roll over. So does that mean the extra 20 XP just gets lost if you’re already near the cap?

Am I misunderstanding how this works, or is that actually the case?
