d16z6 spark plug tube seals

me and my mom recently painted my valve cover on my 95’ del sol si, we got a new gasket with all the new grommets and stuff but she put these tube seals back on wrong. she put them on the outside instead of the inside and swears thats how its supposed to be and that its fine, even though when we first took off the cover the seals were on the inside like they were supposed to be. (refer to last photo)

instead of helping to fix it she got offended when i told her they were wrong and itll get oil into my spark plug wells, so now im putting them back how theyre supposed to be but i am struggling, is there a trick to this? ive never done this before so i am new at this.

ive attached photos to explain more, i just didnt understand that if they were meant to go on the inside of the VC how theyd (the seal) even work if they were just sitting on-top of it. i have heard this certain seal be called a couple different things so i hope the photos help if i am calling it something different. i believe the way they were originally is the correct way but i dont know too much about it, any advice or tips will help

the way my dr explained it to me is, when i stand up, my brain produces too much adrenaline, and apparently that doesnt go to your stomach, so you end up feeling nauseated.

except for me it is literally every single time i stand up. i get nauseated when i eat, when i dont eat, when i sit down, stand up, turn over, like its non-stop and honestly discouraging because i dont want to do anything when im constantly nauseous with a fear of puking. recently i have started to not want to eat since i get nauseous after, i guess i have subconsciously started associating food and nausea together, although i love eating. now i lose my appetite when food is in front of me. i have been taking zofran, both the 4mg dissolvable ones and 8mg pills, but they do not help. on-top of that you can only safely take so many in an amount of hours, if i took them how i needed id probably take 10 a day.

(please forgive my poor explanation about the adrenaline i cant remember everything he said and i have only recently been diagnosed.)

i have tried everything, but when im nauseous it turns me into a “dont touch me” and “dont move at all” person. it makes me irritable and miserable and its worse at work. i am looking for advice or tips until i can get in with my PCP.
