Linea Micra Control Board Failure - Manufacturing / Design Flaw?

I’ve owned my Linea Micra for just over 2 years and make 1–2 cups a day. It suddenly lost power with a burning smell. Tech found the green power terminal block melted with heavy charring on the control board, similar to this post:

I've had the board replaced ($800 CAD), and the machine is running again.

Questions:

  • Has anyone else had this exact terminal block failure?
  • Is this a known manufacturing or design flaw?
  • Any good prevention tips for the new board?
  • Any recourse from La Marzocco?

Attaching photos of the damage. Thanks!
