I just got back and I have post Barbados blues. I won't repeat all the wonderful things others have said about the beaches and the weather but here's what made the trip unique and unforgettable for me:
The resort staff at Mango Bay were SO good to me. Like unbelievably good. I have celiac disease and they were so accommodating. There was a bit of education at first but they always asked and worked with me to ensure I didn't get sick. It's a small resort and the staff knew me by name after a day or so. It's such a good place right on the beach and next to a bunch of things within walking distance. Like the grocery store, a fancy mall, bus routes.
If there are any nerds in here, The Anime Spot in Bridgetown is a local game store. They're so nice. I spent 3 hours going through their free Magic the Gathering cards and just chatting with the staff. Bought some new cards too. I also connected with a local D&D group on Instagram before I left and was able to play a session with them while visiting.
I will absolutely be going back.
