Codex on Android with a local Linux runtime

I built an Android app that runs a local coding-agent workspace on-device. It sets up a bundled Linux runtime, opens a browser/WebView-based workspace, supports Codex for signed-in users, and has an OpenCode fallback path.

I’m looking for early technical testers, especially people who already use Codex, Termux, self-hosted tools, or Android as a dev machine.

Useful feedback:

  • device + Android version
  • setup success/failure
  • Codex login vs fallback path
  • runtime stability
  • WebView usability
  • logs for broken setup or repair flows

It is early, independent, and not affiliated with OpenAI.

OpenAI’s Codex is now in the mobile app

Nice, now I can approve deploys from the toilet

Codex now works directly in Chrome on macOS and Windows.

It’s even better at working with apps and sites in Chrome, and now works in parallel across tabs in the background without taking over your browser.
