Update: my protest art and how this sub helped me find my voice
Hi y’all 👋👋 About a year ago, I posted a POTUS voodoo doll on this sub and my whole life changed.
Everyone here was so enthusiastic and encouraging that I decided to share the ugly thing with more people (friends, coworkers, my therapist, mentors, etc.). They also loved it and it motivated me to start selling these on Etsy and I even made a kit and wrote a pattern for other needle felters / crafters. I’m usually very private and have a lot of fear around being loud, so this was a big step for me. I kept following the energy and I turned this one piece into a series of artwork and kits. Now I’m running a very tiny craft business, attending art markets, and my kits are even in a few small stores! I honestly owe so much of this progress to all of you 🥰🥰 it’s been a crazy journey so far and not an easy road in the slightest, but it feels right.
