Hot stomach/chest/throat within 30 mins of dose?

I know the title is weird but hear me out.

I’ve been taking agomelatine (Domion brand) for 19 days now.

Every time I take it, without fail, I start to feel a really warm liquidy sensation in my upper left abdomen and chest/throat within thirty minutes of taking the dose.

It’s almost a sickly burning sensation.

Anyone else? Does it go away?

It’s not terribly uncomfortable but I’d really rather not have it because it makes me anxious.

Hi all, I’m just wondering if anyone else here experienced this side effect.

I started taking 25mg agomelatine (Domion brand) two nights ago.

I’ve noticed that it’s causing pain in my epigastric area about half an hour after I take the dose, I guess as the tablet is dissolving.

The pain itself doesn’t last too long, maybe 20-30 minutes? (I usually fall asleep shortly after this too, so maybe it lasts longer and I’m just asleep/oblivious.)

I take it right before I get into bed at around 11pm and I eat dinner quite early so there’s not usually any food left in my stomach at this time.

I’m just wondering if anyone else experienced this. Did it get better after a few days or is it something that you still experienced even after being on agomelatine for a while?

Thanks!

I have emetophobia (severe fear of vomiting) and my psychiatrist prescribed me agomelatine because he said it doesn’t cause nausea.

Of course I googled it, and have found that it can actually cause nausea sometimes.

Just looking for anecdotal experience, and how you would rate the side effects against any other antidepressants you’ve tried.

Thanks!
