Moving to Sherman Oaks?

EDIT: I’m looking for more insight on what the area is like, not how I’m not going to find anything.

So after living in Burbank since 2018, I’m finally getting priced out after annual 8.9% rent increases, and looking into Sherman Oaks as a possible new area to live. Admittedly I’m pretty clueless about this part of the valley, and was wondering if anyone had any insight on this part of Sherman Oaks?

I’m looking at a couple of homes in the area, but really am open to anything in Sherman Oaks, Encino, Valley Village, and Studio City. Anything that has rent control, really. If you know of any places, please let me know as well!

Looking for:

$2000 - $2500

1br / 1ba

In-Unit Laundry

Dishwasher

Parking

Top floor/ single floor (No Upstairs Neighbors!)

No new build, “Luxury” apartments

Thanks for any help or information!

Moving to NoHo

Currently living in Burbank, but those 8.9% annual rent increases have finally caught up to me and I have to move out. Wanting to stay in the area, but am pretty clueless about NoHo.

Looking for a few spots, but wondering if there were certain areas to avoid/ steer clear of? Will be most likely having at least 1 car of ours park on the street.

So far:

• Apartment off of Case Ave, by the McDonalds/ Circus Liquor

• Apartment off off Riverton, by the Ralph’s

Any help would be appreciated, likewise, if anyone knows of any spots opening up, lmk!
