I am re-designing the Indian Railways logo for semester thesis project at my university (IIT Guwahati). This project is only for my Thesis and I’m trying to understand what works and what doesn’t. So please look it from a student project perspective. Thank you.

First image is the current logo and the numbered ones are some of the few iterations of logos that I think represents the current dynamism of Indian Railways (be it commuter trains, Freight corridors or semi high speed trains). In this reddit thread I’m also open to suggestions for any changes.

A few days ago I put up a post on re-designing the IR logo and a few people misunderstood that it would be implemented officially. No, it won’t be implemented officially by IIT Guwahati. This project is only for my Thesis and I’m trying to understand what works and what doesn’t. So before you comment don’t change the logo, please look it from a student project perspective.
