Could Omni reduce follicles?

I have been priming w 4ml of Omni for a few weeks and am on day 5 of stims. When I started stimming I switched to 33ml - which is what I’ve done in past retrievals. The priming is new to me - I’ve done it a little only on my last two cycles. So far each of these cycles has been really crap, compared to other cycles. At least in terms of quantity.

For example- at my suppression check I had 9 follicles but at today’s day 5 US I had only two follicles growing well- 13mm and 14mm- 4 others are around 5mm…same size they were day 1, so zero growth.

Last year I was getting 12 up to 20 eggs w nearly the exact same protocol for most of my cycles.

It could be my age - but bc priming w Omni is the only thing new added to my cycle - I can’t help but also wonder if the Omni could be reducing my follicle count. Anyone heard of something like that?

Would you cancel ER?

I just had my day 5 ultrasound after starting stims last Saturday… At my suppression check I had a really nice amount of follicles in both ovaries but today showed only two growing— on the right side. I am 45 1/2… At most of my past retrievals I have had way more follicles but the last few times seem to show something shifting… guessing it’s age.

I can only do this cycle and one more squeezed in before I get cut off on my birthday… Would you cancel or convert into an IUI or keep going for only two eggs?

Reproductive immunologist and MTHFR warning

Hey friends- had a consult w a reproductive immunologist today. Learned some info from tests they had me take- 2 gene mutations, one of which is the MTHFR mutation…the thing is - I already tested for this w my regular doctor and it came back negative!!! WTF

I actually tested twice bc my doctor mistakenly ordered it again a year later. I asked the RI why I would’ve tested negative twice and he said that most doctors choose a more reductive form of the test that only checks one aspect of the mutation (the C variant) whereas there is a much more sensitive test that tests two different aspects (C *and* A variants) of the mutation…

You can have the mutation in one of these two places so it’s important to check both of them…
