Adds spike in 24h with no streams – Bot attack or a glitch?
Hey everyone,
I’m reaching out because something very weird is happening on my Spotify for Artists dashboard and I’m honestly a bit worried. Yesterday (April 16th), only one of my tracks suddenly got 193 p.lists adds in a single day.
Here is the weird part:
- 0 Streams from these p.lists, stream count is very normal after 1 day
- No p.lists names are appearing as no streams occured
- Track is currently in Discovery Mode
I have never used any paid stuff or anything that violates Spotify’s TOS. I’ve been an artist on the platform for almost 10 years and I’ve always grown organically. I've never seen something like this in 10 years.
Is this a known dashboard bug? Or am I being targeted by a bot scam? I’m terrified of getting my track flagged.
I just finished chatting with Spotify Support. They told me to just 'monitor the dashboard' for now and to contact my distributor immediately if I notice any suspicious stream spikes. Since no fraudulent streams have been detected yet, they claim they can't do anything at this moment.
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Has anyone else experienced something this bizarre? I’ve searched everywhere online and haven't found a single case that matches this (high adds spike/zero streams/no p.list names).
Is it possible it's just a glitch or is it something else?
