Swollen elbow 5,5 weeks after surgery - how to get rid of the swelling
Hey everyone,
In February I broke my elbow radius head. It took some time before the first surgery (15 days later) where I received 3 titanium screws.
A week later I had to have a second surgery because of a reflex and the doctors thought one of the screws I had moved (they couldn't recognize it on the CT, hence the 2nd surgery). It turns out all screws were in place so they cleaned up some tissue and some hemarthrosis and adhesions.
So now I am 5,5 weeks after the second surgery and below the elbow I still have swelling. I started lymph drainage this week, but it is only once per week, so no idea if it will help.
I have 3 times per week PT and do everyday exercises at least 3-4 times.
Yet the swelling is there and hinders my recovery.
Do you know anything that can help with that? I also have a compression sleeve since one week and wear it almost all the time.
