Yeah I know car light trails are kinda an overused trope, but they felt like the right way to show the movement of this city at night & test out bulb mode on the Pentax 17. These were shot just by resting the camera on a walkway railing, no tripod and no cable release.
While shooting these, I realized how much the inclusion of a bulb mode changes this camera. Often just a footnote in a feature list, that tiny “B” on the dial turns this into a fully manual, pocketable point and shoot film camera. It’s rare to have full control in this form factor, and it elevates the Pentax 17’s capabilities beyond what many have given it credit for.
