Mappa Burl Wrap on Roland VAD516

Recently got myself a Roland VAD516 (last pic). Very nice kit, but I’ve never really been a fan of the black sparkle finish. I’m more of a wood grain guy, so after a quick search I found Walopus Drum Wraps. Joe was super helpful and hooked me up with an awesome Mappa Burl wrap to try out on my 10” tom.

Putting on the wrap was pretty straightforward for a first attempt at rewrapping. I didn’t have to remove the black sparkle, and so I can always revert back to it when it comes time to sell.

I’ve included a picture of it with my Ludwigs so you can compare the wrap to real wood.

What do you think? Should I proceed with rewrapping the entire kit? I’d need to buy gloss natural hoops too.
