Would you actually think about buying something like this, or am I wasting my time?

I’m working on a small project and I’m trying to figure out if it’s genuinely interesting or just one of those ideas that sounds better in my head.
The concept is simple:
You pick a location in the mountains on a map (for example a place that means something to you), and I turn the exact panorama into a laser engraving on a wooden board handmade from swiss wood. The panorama is rendered using digital terrain models (DTMs)
Right now I only have mockups and a basic alpha workflow. The website is just a landing page with a signup form, nothing you can really buy yet.
Before I invest more time and money into this, I’d like some brutally honest feedback:
- Is this something you’d actually buy or gift?
- Does it feel meaningful or more like a gimmick?
- What would make it worth it for you?
No need to sugarcoat it, give me your brutally honest opinion, positive or negative.
Edit: the product is inteded as a cutting board or serving board for cheese etc, not a wall decoration.
