People play competitive team games because they want to be able to blame their team?
Regardless of the genre of competitive games, team games are always far more popular than 1v1 games, which are all niche. There are many complaints about team games like high toxicity, smurfs, bad teammates, griefers, forced 50% win rate, and etc. All of these problems are pretty much non-existent in 1v1 games, but people still cling to team games. I've played Dota and LoL for 10+ years and have achieved top 1-5% ranks in those games, but I realised that I rarely enjoyed playing them. I was just annoyed most of the time and mainly played to climb rather than for enjoyment. I've made the switch to 1v1 games and found them to be far more enjoyable. 1v1 games don't have 95% of the annoyances of competitive team games. It's pretty hard to have a bad time in 1v1 games since most of them have short match durations and allow you to surrender, so a bad match is over in <5 minutes whereas in team games you're usually stuck in there for >30 minutes. I really don't see why the average person with minimal spare time would play competitive team games. Say you have a few hours to game, it's pretty easy to lose all your matches that day and not have any fun at all. It's a very poor return on investment for enjoyment. In 1v1 games, you're having fun most of the time.
Being able to play with friends is a major reason why some team games are popular, mainly FPS games, but that doesn't explain why games like Dota and LoL are some of the most popular games since >90% of players in these games are solo queue.
In mid, you take phyiscal and magic damage, so the dual resistances make sense. Resistances also scale better into late game and synergises better with Nasus's lifesteal. Also, it's getting buffed from 110 to 130 hp next patch.
I have it covered with a plastic box. Is it getting too much air every time I open the box or is it due to lack of light?
