Pilates

so, i’ve been getting mixed responses-

what exactly does pilates do? does anyone get any noticeable results from it?

it’s something i’m looking into trying personally as someone who’s never worked out before. i want to try to increase my upper body strength (especially core), but i also want the cosmetic aspect like a ‘flatter’ stomach (just like everyone else, i know i know).

i’m currently 5’1 and 100lbs (fluctuating of

course to 105 occasionally). i work a full time job and i’m a full time student, so the gym is a little more difficult for me to make time for, and i’d love a more convenient option while also achieving results, even if it takes longer than at a gym with proper equipment. (i’m also moving to a university in the fall with a full blown gym, so i’ll definitely be using that when i have the opportunity!)

i have the money to buy a walking pad and dumbbells too. it would be worth it since it’s a long term commitment. i wouldn’t be opposed to lifting weights if they weren’t as expensive; i thought dumbbells would work, though, despite probably providing results in a longer time frame.

any recommendations would be great:) i’d love to start working out and seeing results!
