cw: mentions of nausea/vomiting!!

hi all!! i was recently prescribed a course of doxycycline hyclate (two capsules a day for a week to equal 100 mg), but after making the mistake of researching the side effects, i am now extremely scared of starting it. to be quite honest, there are very few things i hate more than nausea and vomiting, so much so that i worry i’m never going to get around to taking the antibiotics and i’ll keep putting it off forever. i’ve almost brought myself to tears numerous times today even just thinking about being sick for a week straight.

if you or someone you know has had any experience with doxy, please let me know so i can understand what to expect. is it really going to be as terrible as some people have said? what determines how badly i will be effected by it? what can i do to lessen the side effects as much as possible? thank you for taking the time to read this, any and all information would be greatly appreciated!
