Is there a point of contact for downtown alley cleanup?
I know I have brought these conditions upon myself for my choice of locale (my apartment window faces an alley downtown), but I do not control the actions of others, nor am I sure who is responsible for cleaning alleys that fall victim to those actions!
On Saturday night (1:24AM) a group of several raucous cackling women took it upon themselves to urinate a giant lake + river of pee toward the upper side of the alley, immediately outside a business’ back door betwixt some recycling bins. Classy! My annoyance at the time was palpable, but now it has festered. That giant lake and river of pee has now dried into a noxious and baneful odor that haunts my open window with every gust of wind as I try to enjoy the nice weather!
I don’t imagine these drunken urinary occurrences will cease entirely, obviously! But as we inch closer to drier weather, I am wondering if anyone is aware of some city entity that bears responsibility for alley maintenance/safety/cleanliness/etc or if I’m SOL till it rains a whole lot :)
