So excited to try everything!! Paired with some Japanese pickles and veg too. Will likely eat most of this with some steamed rice. Frugal tin eater here - I believe most of these tins were under $5. Translated everything the best that I could 😅
From top to bottom, left to right:
-Grilled herring kabayaki style (with teriyaki like sauce and sansho pepper)
-Grilled salt mackerel
-Garlic flavored smoked mackerel in oil
-Sardine curry with dark miso and soy (wooden barrel prepped)
-Sardine with dark miso and soy (wooden barrel prepped)
-Fatty sardines in brine
-Yellowtail and daikon simmer in soy based sauce (I think I’m most excited to try this one!)
-Capelin with roe in oil
-Rainbow smelt in oil
Veg:
-3 year old aged daikon pickle
-sweet and spicy bitter melon
-tsukemono cucumber
-bamboo shoots with shrimp flavor
-moriguchi-zuke (long daikon aged pickle)
-Hiroshima greens with shiso leaf
One of my favorite tshirts is slit woven in the back and it’s getting close to tearing apart. I would love to fix it up so I can keep wearing it. Please advise!
