Where the semiconductor industry is growing the fastest in the US

I came across a recent study highlighting the areas of the US where tech sectors are growing the fastest. US counties were ranked on growth factors that include the changes in employment level, number of establishments, and wage growth. The 10 counties that scored the highest in the 'Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing' category are:

  1. Williamson County, TX
  2. Ford Bend County, TX
  3. Allegheny County, PA
  4. King County, WA
  5. Gwinnett County, GA
  6. San Bernardino County, CA
  7. Ada County, ID
  8. Erie County, NY
  9. Boulder County, CO
  10. Santa Clara County, CA.

The Texas counties at the top weren't a surprise, but I wasn't expecting such a spread throughout so much of the rest of the country.

What is your tried and true method for hard boiling and peeling eggs?

I wanted to see how similar, or different, our methods are. Mine is:

  • Put the eggs in a pan with cool water and bring to a boil, add a dash of baking soda to the water to help the eggs peel easier (or so I read)
  • Boil for 12 minutes
  • Put in ice bath for 15 minutes
  • Immediately peel

As long as the eggs aren't fresh from the store, I have no issues with peeling. I like to push down on the egg and roll it to break the shell, then pull it off in 2-3 pieces.
