My first Hamilton. Murph 38mm

As the title says, i have finally got my Hamilton Murph. Its a 38mm version.

Recently, my brother-in-law was on a official trip to Netherlands for a few months, so i took this opportunity and asked him to bring me one. I paid around ₹95K INR after all the conversation and taxes.

He had to unbox that and wear on his trip back to avoid customs and hence i couldn't get that unboxing experience but that's fine. I finally held it and the experience was B+. I read it online everywhere that 42mm is just too big and 38mm is the perfect size, especially for my thin wrists. Although, i feel that the watch is a little small. I have a Seiko Presage and i feel that it's the perfectly complements the size for my wrists (40.5mm).

Coming to the fit and finish, its just extraordinary. Even though its small, its heavy (in a good way). The slightly domed glass gives a very heavenly look. This watch is just so simple yet elegant, its hard to explain through words. The cathedral hour hand, the numerals, the lume is just so 🤌🏻. You need to experience it in person to feel my emotions.

Here are some technical specs (from Hamilton's site):

Movement: Automatic

Case size: 38mm

Thickness (mm): 11.1

Dial color: Black

Case material: Stainless steel

Crystal: Sapphire

Lug width: 20mm

Power reserve: 80 hour

Water Resistance: 10 bar (100m)

Anti Reflection: Yes

Open Case Back: Yes

Super Luminova: Yes

Although, if i ever get the chance to wear 42mm and if it suits, I may sell this one and get that. Time will tell that however, one thing is for sure that this watch (38mm or 42mm) is gonna stay with me for the lifetime.

Anyway, i couldn't help myself so here are some pics that i shot from my camera of this beautiful Interstellar watch. Enjoy.

Drop your comments if you have any questions.

Thanks for reading.
