First shot [Profitec go + Mignon zero]
First shot with Profitec Go
23 seconds total time, no scale yet. I upgraded from a cheap 100$ machine with pre-ground coffee to Profitec Go and Mignon Zero and honestly I don’t see how the coffee now is better, maybe I have not developed the taste yet but I have been drinking coffee in bars for a long time.
I noticed that the pressurised basket gets almost same taste every time, so what I liked with that old machine was that it was able to pull a sweet shot with a long output, most likely because it run in pretty quickly.
I can do that with this new setup by grinding at level 3, it comes out pretty fast but gets the sweet taste.
Grinding at level 1 pulls the shot slower but picks up more sourness and acidity which I don’t like.
Still experimenting with it, I bought 2 100gr tester beans from a shop and I don’t think those are good enough to beat the cheap machine yet.
