Mossi Trade?

Mossi Trade?

I am working on a career run of Don Mossi, and accidentally picked up an extra 1966. If anyone out there has a 1964, or 1963 - either him alone (530) or on the combo card (Tiger Twirlers, 218) I’d love to swap them around. I suggested those because they’re similar in year, but I’d also take anything from 1958-1962, including the Post #42.

Topps S2 Pre-Order: Monday at ??:00am

A polite head's up that one of the most popular products of the year releases for pre-order on Monday. It doesn't say what time on the website that *I* can see, but from past experience, I expect it will be 12:00 EDT/9:00 PDT. If anyone knows the time for sure, put it below and let it get upvoted.

Pre-order is (generally) the easiest and cheapest way for Canadians to secure hobby boxes and jumbo hobby boxes, so consider this a little PSA.

“Fair” or Foul?

I made a trade through a different platform with somebody, and I am genuinely not upset about having received the cards in the photo amongst others that were in better condition.

All of the cards were described as “Fair”. I do not grade, and genuinely don’t get too concerned about little blemishes, but I am curious if you think it’s correct to describe these as “fair”.

In case you can’t tell from a quick glance, the Blass has scratches through the team name, and the Logo has been blacked out with pen. The lemon has the outfield position scratched out, pencil marks, and the back is a minefield. The Jablonski is missing about 15% of the card.

Again, I’m not upset, I’m not saying I was scammed, nothing like that, I’m just going to use this to help me better understand the terms folks use.

A fantastic pick up from always-amazing u/No_one_at_all1701. He takes such care to carefully carefully photograph and detail the cards he's selling and then works with me on shipping. I've been delighted every time. Gem of a seller.

I finally finished the complete run of 1995 Studio Gold. This insert set is plastic, and the numbers are embossed, so they don’t just look like credit cards, they feel like credit cards too.

Plenty of great mid 1990s legends, including the only card ever produced where Bob Hamelin doesn’t look like he’s pranking a yearbook editor.

If you’ve got 1995 Studio platinum for trade, let me know! I’m at 7 out of 25 so far

With a huge shout out to u/h_reddy_sox who acted as a drop shipper for the last three cards I needed to wrap up these sets, I have completed both the 1969 O-Pee-Chee and Topps deckle edged sets!

I got off to a great start when I picked up a lot of the Canada-issued OPCs from u/japalian and then decided to chase ‘em all down.

OPC has a black signature and fewer cards, as well as totally blank backs, and a ‘sharper’ deckle. Topps has a blue signature, numbered cards, a ‘rounder’ deckle, and also has two card variations: 11 (Wilhelm and Wynn), and 22 (Staub and Foy). Hope you enjoy!
