Who is ZaZa?
Obviously with the release of 1182, a lot of discussion of who is ZaZa in modern day. Top three I’ve seen so far and I could see are #1 Dragon, #2 Vivi, and #3 Nami. However, all of this talk is about the mythical zoan fruit that would be associated with ZaZa. If this is the case then I fully believe that it is dragon or vivi.
Dragon for a few reasons: if it’s dragon, then he has already eaten it before luffys adventure even began, his face tattoo does match the giant snake in skypeia, there is a storm happening most times he makes a dramatic appearance, and I kinda funny reason is that ZaZa kinda sounds like DaDa which would be silly since he is Luffy’s dad.
Vivi: her connection to Alabasta and rainfall being so important would be very fitting for her to be the new queen of Alabasta and ensure nothing like in the times of Crocodile happens again. Her relation to Lili also gives me reason to believe she could find the ZaZa fruit. While it isn’t confirmed that Lili had it before or if she had one at all, it could make sense as to how she was able to transport the poneglyphs and flood wano while still preserving the previous civilization. The Harley text also says the rain god raged when the sun was killed. Lili’s rage could have been the poneglyphs or the letter back home to Alabasta revealing the truth of the first reverie. Also the blue hair matching water would really sell it for her design as well with the face veil that is very common in Alabasta.
Nami: Im not a huge fan of the east blue crew having devil fruits. I like that they use their fully human abilities to grow and become pirates who truly belong on the pirate kings crew. That being said, I have been thinking about her getting the powers of the rain goddess without becoming her. Basically she steals her from Killingham much like she stole Zeus from Big Mom. Nami has had a very subtle development in her innate abilities but large leaps in her technological advancements. From her first staff to the climatact. Then the dials from skypeia, then more upgrade from weatheria, then Zeus, she has always had a tool that has gotten stronger and therefore been able to protect her in her battles. However, her own haki, I believe, has been seen since the very beginning. Every time she has punched Luffy and it hurts him, that is her infusing haki into her fists. Punches shouldn’t affect him but hers do. Her ability to predict weather patterns in the grand line is incredibly impressive to a native to the grand line. Then, she manages to take a soul-based henchmen from an Emperor and has managed to keep him even after her defeat.
My theory for Nami is that she is from Amazon Lily and was birthed in Cocoyashi by an Amazonian who traveled away and found love there. The inhabitants of Amazon lily have the ability to infuse their haki into other things like arrows and spears. I think this is where Nami gets her ability to punch Luffy and why she is able to keep Zeus around. She is infusing her own haki into the climatact and therefore affecting Zeus who lives inside. I believe the same thing can happen with this Sleeptid of ZaZa.
Those are my theories for how ZaZa will play out in the rest of the series. I am excited to get more evidence of the earth and forest gods. Let me know what you think.
