I didn’t know birds could purr until I rescued this cutie pie
I live in Brazil! my brother found this precious baby in front of our building trying to fly (feathers were cut). he had a ring on his leg but the code wasn’t the kind the government uses to track them nationwide. we canvassed our neighborhood for two days trying to find its owner, but nobody showed up. since we’re not bird owners and couldn’t keep it any longer, I surrendered it to the proper authorities. when we got there they told us it’s a ringneck, which is quite an expensive breed over here. he/she’s just a tiny wittle baby and it broke my heart to give him/her up, but it was the right thing to do. they told us someone had been there that same week looking for their yellow ringneck! I really hope they come back for it. the birdie really took to me, but at the same time it was pretty scared, so I got a whole lot of love bites and love scratches (and poo on my back) 😅
