Hello everyone. As the title says, this will be my first solo trip out of my home country. Saying this, I'm actually quite uneasy and nervous about going. I'll be flying out on Tuesday morning, arriving in China with a near 6 hour layover, then flying into Ho Chi Minh City at 1:35am. So I'll have to navigate a foreign airport at night, and get to my hotel.

My plan is to work my way up the coast to Hanoi and get the sleeper train back to Ho Chi Minh City. Nothing really locked in, but there are a few things I want to see along the way.

Really, I'm looking for tips to ease my anxieties. Anything to make my trip that little bit less daunting.
